Portal to air pollution - an overview

   

Air pollution in Kiev originates from many sources within the city, but also from outside. It consists in   particulate matter that can be filtered or even been seen and in invisible gases. Examples for loads with particulate matter are:

• soot from diesel engines

• soil particles caused by wind erosion of unprotected agricultural fields, etc.

 In many cases the invisible loads (like benz-a-pyrene and carbon monoxide) do not have a smell and that is why we often do not worry about.
